Dumb question, but how do you know how many down votes that you've gotten.

You have 895 votes total. Mouse over to your stars. You have a 83 rating which means you have received 17% down votes. 895X .17= 152. It would be more or less since .175 would get you 157 down votes and 16.5 would get you 148 so somewhere between 148 and 157. At least that is what I figure.

And still overrated.

I agree with you. The star rating pretty much means nothing. I think the intent behind the system is good (identify the members that make positive contributions to the board) but the mechanism is failing. I have apparently picked up a serial downvoter who is too chickenshit to fess up. If you disagree with something I post, call me out on it. Don't freaking hide behind your computer and hit the red button while snickering to yourself "I'll show him!". You're not showing me anything except that you are a douche and a coward. Explain why you disagree. if you can take the time to express your disapproval, then do it in a manner that allows for a retort.

I've used the downvote function all of about 3 times in the two years that I've been posting here and backed up each with a post. That's because I'm not afraid to express myself and engage in discussion. And frankly, I don't give a flip what my rating is. I post what I think and don't alter those thoughts based on what I think will be accepted by the cool crowd. That, IMO, is precisely what these message boards are intended for.

So, you been-no-where-done-nothing-putz, take your little red arrow and shove it up your arse. The fact that you aren't man enough to fess up to your cowardice completely pisses me off. But I could not care less what you think about my posts.
