Rodney King multiplied by every major city in America. As a black man; are you complete blind to the recent history of black rioting. Obama has been the most racially divisive president since Douglas in 1856. If you think that is only the opinion of a conservative white man; go to the link to an extremely liberal woman linked below. Eric Holder is the most political attorney general in memory and he will enable and possibly foment unrest in an attempt to influence the outcome of a court case challenging the results of Ohio if Obama narrowly loses. If you don't understand the risks of that event; then you are blind sir.

Look at the backlash from Black America when an AA speaks of voting Republican. Stacey Dash, Herman Cain, Alan West, etc. are all called Uncle Tom(s), house [n-word]. How else can you explain it, if it's not something taught?
I would say that it's both the political system and "the system" as a whole. When the unemployment rate is 15-18% in the AA community, why would that community still vote predominately for those that claim to want to help them but actually do little in anything at all?

I won't make excuses for some of my people's insensitive comments, but how different is it from the backlash someone like Colin Powell has received from his own party?
It is taught, because we have lived it. I don't expect you to be able to relate, because you more than likely have not lived it. When you are pulled over because you don't belong somewhere or you are arrested because you fit the description come back and talk to me. When you go and help a black church rebuild their church after it has been burned down by whites, then we can talk.
As far as voting, so if the party doesn't do anything to help them, I guess the Republican party does? Tell me how?

Bjenkins2145 - political racial question for you...
IMO, one person that's been allowed to get away with making racist comments is VP Joe Biden...first, he goes after Barack Obama in the 2008 primaries saying Barack Obama is "the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean..."
Recently, there were media reports about President Obama being a direct descendent of one of the first slaves in America...& Biden decides to make a slavery joke in front of the NAACP
Just me, but it's time Biden is called out for the racist that he's proven himself to be...would you agree? Thoughts?

My honest opinion about Biden? I think he is very uneducated regarding African-Americans. Racist? That's a strong word to use on anyone...I haven't called anyone myself racist or alluded to the fact. Biden's comments he made in August were definitely racially insensitive.
As far as what he said about Obama in the 2008 primaries, it doesn't surprise me...I have lost count how many times I have been told this by a white person. Frankly it's a fact of life. When what you see on TV is back people sagging, n this, n that, using slang and so forth, what do you expect.

Because you whined about how mistreated you, as a Black man, have been by Whites.
You brought it up.
Look, here's the truth - take your average Black guy and drop him off in an all White neighborhood at midnight and someone will call it in and he will be escorted out. Put a White guy in the 'hood late at night and he'll be lucky to make it out alive.
That's a fact and you know it.

If you want to classify what I said as whining...No problem. I am totally aware of the disparities between black on white crime exceeds white on black crime. And I understand that it's a fact of life that I have to deal with the fact the I will be judge by my skin color more so than a white man will be his.
What I was trying to get across is that you don't have to deal with the things I have to in that regards. The police won't pull you over and question you as to why you are in the "hood". However, I will get that treatment driving in a place such as Highland Park even if I am on business.
As far as facts are concerned, if you and I commit the same crime and are sent to prison, what are the chances your sentence is longer than mine? Next to ZERO. Blacks recieve sentences 23% longer than their white counterparts and that percentage is growing. So are we really playing on the same level field at the end of the day?

Do you honestly think having someone in authority fluck with you is unique to Black males ?
Hate to break it to you Hoss but it happens to us White boys too.
Authority does pretty much whatever it wants. You seem to view life thru a Black/White prism so you jump to that rational to explain it.
Sorry, but I'm not going to sympathize with your "you don't have to deal with things that I have to" spiel.

About three weeks ago. Pricinct 4 constable. All playing the victim card does is keep Al Sharpton's lear jet gassed up.
Do yourself a favor. Google former Chicago Bull Bob Love, order his inspirational video. I think it is titled "If it is to be, it is because of me". Every person of every race should listen to it. -

I'm not asking for your sympathy. I could care less. If you want to believe that things roll the same way for both of our races, then you sir are unfortunately part of the problem.
It's funny how you can make an assumption that I view things through that prism. My view of life is VERY open. It seems to be a lot more open than you allow yourself to view things.
Seeing how you brought up black killing more whites than vice versa and say how whites can only pray to get out of the "hood" alive, and how you say "oh white people get the same treatment as black guys do", it looks like you are pulling at straws to try and justify your stance. Tell me the last time the authorities have pulled you over to question your motives?
