  • I'm thinking Romney wins going away - about 7 points, 53-46 sounds about right.

    Electoral College something like 328 to 210.

    I'm thinking you are a tad off. I'm thinking Obama like 277 to 260. Popular vote may swing Romneys way by a point or two but IDMAS at the end of the day-

  • There are two factors at play. If only legal voters voted Romney would be President by winning the electoral college and the popular vote. The amount of illegal voting that has already taken place is Hugh. Chicago may well steal this election.

    Another factor at play is that most of us live in Texas. Which is somewhat of an outlier when it comes to political ideology. I think some the people on this board that are calling for a landslide have a false sense of the electorate because of the conservative nature of our state

    Frank is correct. In any state that has a democratic secretary of state, Obama will steal 1% of the vote with illegal ballots. But you are also correct. I lived in conservative East Texas for 20 years; but now am living in extremely liberal northern New Mexico. I suspect I would be a lot more confident about this election if I wasn't seeing Obama bumper stickers 10-1 over Romney; rather than the other way around.

    Regardless; I've watched politics and polls closely since 1980 and have a decent feel for how they work. Most polls are significantly over counting Democratic turn-out in this election. If the polls showing that Romney has completely erased the gender gap are correct, he wins the popular vote 52-48 and pickes up 295 electoral votes. I'm convinced Romney will win the south monolithically. He will win Ohio narrowly and may steal either Penns or Michigan.

    My one fear at this point is that Ohio will be close enough that Obama sends in the lawyers and tries to steal the election like Man-Bear Pig did in 2000. This country can't go through another constitutional crisis; especially one created by a sitting black president.

  • Romney wins bigger than all these pollsters think. I think what's happened in Libya is disgusting and that should be front and center on every media outlet. This administration has a lot to explain. Election or not, they should be held to account. Most of the media continues to give them a pass, which is not a shocker as it is sickening.

    So in what way is Black America "taught" to feel like the system is rigged? Is it the political system or "the system" as a whole?
