Cops

  • My soon to be daughter-in-law was pulled over at I-10 and Chimney Rock for going 85 mph.
The cop let her off with a warning. What? That wouldn't happen to me.

Crying and tits apparently work with the police. lol

  • Once I was pulled over for doing 95 in a 55 zone and was given a 5 miles over ticket that cost $15 and didn't go on my license. I also was in Kentucky with New Mexico plates and a Texas license and no proof of insurance. The cop apologized but said he had to fill his quota. That was the good old days.

It must have been HPD and not the village cops, they would have written up Kate Upton and not noticed the bikini.

In the 3 years I've had my license I've been pulled over for speeding 3 times (15 over, 20 over and 32 over). I've never paid a dime or had anything go on my driving record. banana

I always get them dismissed as well but I still have to show up in court and pay an attorney $30.

It was HPD and you're right, those locals in the Village are relentless.

I can't say the same I got a ticket for doing 83 in a 70 mph zone in Bulverde. I handed the officer my military Id,TX DL and rental agreement and told him I'm stationed in Germany. He still gave me the ticket, I had to do defensive driving and pay court fees but nothing on my ins at least.

Village cops are brutal. I got a ticket this year for talking on my cell phone in a school zone....except I wasn't doing that. I made a left turn out of Southwell's, eastbound on Gaylord. My cell phone went sliding across my dash, I reached out and grabbed it, held it in the air while I completed the turn, then laid it on my center console. A-hole village cop ticketed me for talking on my cell phone in a school zone.

I think I've been pulled over by the village po-po at least 20 times since I turned 16. Of course, most of those were between the ages of 16 and 19. bike

How the hell does a Canadian Mountie on a horse catch up to you?

I think if you showed him a Congressional Medal of Honor it would have less influence than a few tears and a nice rack.

All the Village cops are bad but Spring Valley police are the absolute worst. There's a 3 mile stretch of Bingle north of I-10 to just north of Westview that is a 30mph zone. I drive that stretch at least twice every day and, no exaggeration, see at least three folks pulled over. I don't know what the tax rate in SV is but I'm sure the city is well-funded with revenue from traffic citations.

JKates - you a Memorial grad?

I grew up in Memorial but went to Second Baptist for school (and church). So I drove through the villages at least twice per day also. Right now I live off of Long Point west of Gessner, but you are right about SV police. In high school we stole SV stickers to put on our bumpers so the cops would leave us alone.
