Are you jailbroken? If not,why not?
I'm a sheeple I guess. Not jail broken but would love to be. Always wanted Longhorn theme on my iPhone. Plus it would void my warranty I think.
Not yet. My warranty is through next year. Will prob look into it then. You've gotta show me more perks to go there.
Because it hasnt committed any crimes yet.
You would only have to worry about a warranty if you took it in before you restored your phone back to factory settings. C'mon guys, keep up...
Good to see you posting. I'll show you some stuff tomorrow.
Baby steps... One post at a time!
Was previously. Its cool but the new iPhone software is better. Also the app store for the jailbroken version is not user friendly...at all. can always simply restore iPhone and jailbreak is gone but can never update your phone.
The 5.1.1 JB is awesome man.
What are the pros and cons?? I've been wondering for awhile
No cons. Only pros. Full customization
I know they have other app stores but hw do you buy apps from the apps from the apple store
They're different sources for apps. You don't download Angry Birds in Cydia. You download tweaks in Cydia. PayPal is the source of currency transfer.
But not all apps exist in cyril, right? The UT app for example. How would I make it work on a jail broken phone?
iPhone guys, why are you still iPhone guys?
4 shattered screens on my droid in a 6 month period from drops that would make my blackberry giggle like a school girl. Insurance is great but when you have to pay 50 a pop to replace the handset it gets redunkulous. After the 4th one i said F'it and went with the iPhone. Of course that was 2 years ago so i had to go with the 3Gs which was fine. I've since dropped my otterbox free iPhone from heights that would leave my blackberry in the fetal position crying "No Mas" and I've seen nothing more than a minor chip in the screen in the upper corner where it hit the ground. Needless to say i put my phones through hell and back and the iPhone has been the most durable of any. Tough, no scratches on the screen and to be honest the droid apps compared to the iPhone apps weren't even close at the time. My contract is up on my 3Gs right now and i'm patiently waiting until September/October for the iPhone 5 to roll out. If you haven't heard or seen any of the specs you should, it will be absolutely DISGUSTING.
I'm sure i'm not the only guy on here who can attest to the durability of the iPhone.
Also, it's worth noting that reviews from those beta testers using the iPhone 5 have said that it blows away the Samsung Galaxy in every possibly way. The new features and specs are wayyyyyyy too many to mention but if you're interested, there's a great link below that gives you insight into the development and patent status of all things Apple and i'll just say if you spend time on the site and don't drop a f bomb or few then something is seriously wrong. Again, great reading whether your a techie or not. Just my dos centavos.
Patently Apple is an Apple Inc. centric blog focused on dissecting Apple's latest Intellectual Property. We mainly report on Apple's patent applications, granted patents and trademark filings that have been published by the US Patent and Trademark Office. Our reports are full of inventive images that bring each and every invention come to life. To round off our site, we report on some of Apple's legal cases relating to intellectual property and post a number of special reports each year to spice things up. If you're one of those who happen to enjoy reading in-depth reports, then Patently Apple is definitely worth investigating.

I have both...develop for both. The iPhone blows the android away...
Not following your question…what does this mean?
Wife iPhone 2 broken screens
Me Dell Android Gorilla Glass zero broken screens
Jailbroken applies to iPhone and it basically means you're hacking the phone to make it more personalized by bypassing the Apple restrictions. By doing this you can gain access to "apps" that are not available through the Apple app store. You can even do things like change fonts on the main screen or even do themes. I've seen a Linghorn theme that's pretty cool.
I see, thanks for the education. +1
iPhone 4, not jailbroken and absolutely zero problems. This is my 3rd Apple phone (3, 3S and now 4) and have had zero problems. I think my contract is up in November so I'll probably move up to the 5 then.
My contract is up in a week or two, and will hold out until the 5, New iPhone or whatever they call it is releases. Guess I will be a month-to-month guy til October or so.
May price out Verizon and Sprint as AT&T plans seem to be getting outrageous.
That's funny about the AT&T because one of my best friends asked me a ton of questions about Verizon because he is getting off the AT&T plan for the same reason as you. What exactly is it that is making it more expensive?
