But did you actually watch them play last season? Ash progressively got better. McCoy still tried to do things he can't do. The Baylor game showed that.

Of course I watched them play. Based on stats, McCoy played better.
McCoy had the whole playbook and Ash was working with a small package of plays when he was thrown into the starting role. The only reason McCoy is still on this team is because Mack's loyal to a fault.
Stats don't mean shit. You have to look at many other factors that are more important.
Stats do mean shit. Check the completion percentage and turnovers. Huge stats that absolutely matter.
McCoy sucked so bad that even those "better" stats couldn't get him a scholly to a single D-1 school he asked. That stat says it all. No one wants him and we are stuck with him. The ONLY competition McCoy's in is for the clipboard holder. I say Brewer wins that one.
Doubtful. Brewer will redshirt this year.
The stats matter so much that Major Applewhite and Brian Harsin used them to justify starting Case at the Holiday Bowl and give him the lion's share of the snaps this Spring. What's that? That was Ash?
You might want to rethink your stats argument. Turnovers and completion percentage do not a whole story tell.
There was a poster on Hornfans named Jester409 or something close to it that lost it one year during our 5 year run of defeats to OU and quit his fandom. We won the national title 2 years later and went on a a very impressive 4 year run that netted 3 bowl wins, a conference title, 2 BCS bowls, a MNC appearance, and being screwed out of another shot at the title.
Here are some things that put me close to the edge:
50-60 point losses to OU with comparable talent
Putting up a goose egg on the scoreboard with the 04 offense...against OU
Losing to KSU in new and more painful ways
The 80's thru 96...in general and in football
The Wazzu Holiday Bowl
Adzillatron drowning out everything that is good and pure about the UT football experience other than the actual game
Here is something that doesn't put me over the edge:
Reports of our starting QB tweaking a hammy a week before fall practice, 5 weeks before the first game of the season, and 9 weeks before we good and truly need him.

I got brains. I got big ol' brains. I got dinosaur brains.
OP, be careful, Eric B found out he didn't "know the ledge"! Lol.
Not an option for me. I'm a Texas grad.
I am not losing my fandom. I just want us to start kicking ass again and I don't see that happening with Case.
Case's stats were good until the defenses adjusted and started stacking the box. That's when the interceptions started.
Well sure, but our O line wasn't exactly world class and we had RB's that were dinged up.
Look, I don't believe I said Case should start this year because I have no idea what either Ash or McCoy have looked like this summer. I know Ash is the popular choice with everyone and I am in no way disputing that. I want the best guy to win the job and help this team get back to where we belong.
Please step back from the ledge my friend. We can cut all ties with the lies you've been living in.....I will understand....I will understand...
You will feel much better, after the 1st game.
