Is section 6 legit? Going with a co worker (who lurks this board btw) and it was between 3 and 6. Thoughts?
How can sitting there not be legit?
I dunno. That's why I'm asking. 3 or 6?
Haven't been obviously but from looking at the pic it looks pretty damn legit. Is that the longhorn bench side?
Dunno about either of those sections, but the mouthy badaces with creative hand gestures and occasional Texas Tourette's sit in 109 around row 25 or so. Or so I've heard.
Listen for the ol' cat shouting "'Put a Hemi n'dere!". He sits next to Bob Stoops' doppleganger. Won't be hard to find'em.
I got brains. I got big ol' brains. I got dinosaur brains.
I've never been but looking at the seating pic I would say 6 gives you the best chance to see the whole field but 3 gives you a better chance for red zone fun.
Go with 6 - my jr year we had seats in 31 and they weren't too bad. You'd basically be a section closer to the 50 and on the other side (of 31) if you went with 3. But 6 would be louder since you're closer to the North end zone. Honestly cant go wrong with either but 6 looks closer. I doubt it'd be much of a difference.
Sorry I think I've edited this like 4 times, I keep getting the section numbers messed up.

Also I just had a flashback that I thought would be fun to share. UT lets students put groups together for their football seats and then it's just kind of a luck of the draw (but they do give better seats to uppeclassmen). Somehow our group senior year got f'd up and one group got the shaft on around the goal line, another was up high but lower level and on the 30 and then me all by myself has a seat on the 45 like 10 rows from the field. A lot of players' parents and recruits were around me (I remember seeing Calvin Howell). I was too drunk to be around a bunch of sober people so I just went and sat with these chicks I knew that were a dozen seats over or so to spare myself being ejected from the stadium before kickoff and never returned again. I hate sitting by myself at games.
You'll enjoy it man. I think I'm gonna make it to the opener, Baylor and WVU for home games and then OU as always and the Tech game too. Is this your first game?

Thanks for the opinions dudes. This will be my first game. WV is gonna hear it from this okie!! We should organize some drinking activities that week. I'll be in Austin the 4th through the 8th.
I know folks gripe on the Hookem 247 board about OT posts, but I suggest you might get a larger sampling of opinions on this question there. I do not in anyway think this is off topic. Nothing is more on topic that going to a longhorn game. The one question I would pose is just how high or the seats in the section? Lower is not always better. I believe both sections to be great as long as you are not in the first two or three rows. Unless they have changed it the seats point st. ahead making it difficult to see anything at the other end.

theres tons available. i'll post on the other board.
I wonder if the dude wearing women's loafers will be there again this year, yelling 'GET'EM!' before the ball is even snapped.
What's funny is the whole row picked up on it and started yelling it too.....well before the snap.
Funny as hell, and he was good natured about it in addition to his faaaaabbulous taste in footwear.
I go every year. 'GET EM!'
6 and don't look back.
So, row 21 became available. Too low?
I would take 3 over 6. More midfield.

Actually from the diagram above its the other way around. Probably cant go wrong with either though.
Yea, your right, looked it it again. If it was an afternoon game, probably more shade on the northern end.
