With the season starting in a little over an hour I thought I would start this post. If there are any other Ranger fans out there let's keep discussion to this thread so we don't clutter the board.
AL West Champs
3 pitchers with at least 15 wins with Dutch leading the way with 18. Darvish and Harry as other 2. Darvish with ALROY and named to ASG.
Leonys Martin called up in June to man CF. The supremely talented Jurickson Profar gets his first taste of "the show" as a September call up.
Great time to be a Ranger fan.
Martin Perez the number 5 starter by the end of the year.
Calling your shot. Like it. Don't think Feliz sticks in the rotation?
96 wins, and Darvish gets 14 of those (expect a shaky few starts at the begining)
If Feliz to the pen, the Starters only need go 5-6 strong with Ogando, Adams, Nathan and Feliz waiting.
I'm worried about Colby. It's been reported that the hip he dealt with last year is degenerative. I hope he holds up. That guys is a big game pitcher.
I think Ogando continues to be the weapon out of the pen he was last post season. He's a game changer.
1-0 Rangers Top2
2-0 Top 6
Colby may be running out of gas. 90 pitches in the top of six.
Colby made it out of the sixth, but not before giving up two runs. Now at 100 pitches. Suspect we go to the pen in the seventh.
Lexi coming in throwing smoke
Up to Nathan to close it out.
I'm nervous about Nathan. Fear of the unknown, I guess
162-0...is still alive.
Just 172 more.

Still hurts every time I see Danks pitch for Chicago. Daniels has redeemed himself though.
Danks has a career ERA of 4.03...pretty average, and although he is still young, I am not sure he would be near the front of our rotation this season and especially next.
There was a time last year that I would've traded Harry for Danks in a heartbeat. Not any more.
Nathan did pretty well and got the job done. With that said. I still think Feliz is our best closer. I just don't see him as a starter.
The Rangers would have lost this game in previous years. Nice looking bullpen.
I dont think Feliz will finish the year as a starter either, but dont know that he
can close without developing a strong second pitch. I know he was our closer
in that past, but he always made me real nervous.....
Martin Perez with a very good outing last night in RR. 6 innings/4hits/3ks/1bb on 70 pitches
He was a starter before he was a closer...It may take most of the year since he needs to build himself to go 200 innings but we will really not know his full starting potential till 2013...
This! He won't be going to the pen anytime soon. I can't wait until Monday night, Darvish is going to light MLB up this year.
After his success as a starter last year; I would have left Ogando in the rotation and left Feliz in the pen. But now that the Rangers made to decision to move Feliz to a starter role and picked up Nathan to close, he isn't headed back. My big question is whether his shoulder holds up.
we need to hurry up and resign kinsler before he gets too expensive.
