In the best of world's , we'll hold Profar back until late 2013. There's no reason to bring him up at this point. He isn't even on the 40 man roster yet. We will have minor league options on him until 2016. He's going to allow us to either let Andrus walk to free agency or trade him for a load of prospects in 2014. What we do with Kinsler depends on whether we can sign Hamilton. The Rangers currently are deeper in middle infielder in the system than we are outfielders. I doubt we waste any money on Cruz when he hits free agency. We would like Hamilton back; but only if he is willing to sign a decent contract. Leonys Martin is off to a great start in AAA and should be ready to take over center field by next year. If we can resign Hamilton; then the outfield remains set with Martin taking center and Hamilton moving to a corner spot . Kinsler stays at second and Profar takes over second when we deal Andrus. If Ham. walks; then Kinsler has to move to the outfield.

We have a deep bull-pen. I'm not worried about burning anyone out. I don't think we've even thrown Feldman yet. The question at this point is Nathan. A 50% blown save rate isn't going to hack it. Hopefully, he will figure out that hitters are sitting on his slider and throw more fast balls and then bury his slider in the dirt. If he can't become reliable; then either Adams or Ogando is going to have to move to closer and we will have to find arm for set-up. I would like one more lefty in the pen; but that's somewhat of a luxury.

Ian Kinsler is the bell cow of the Texas Rangers for the next 5 yrs...Without question...A 30-30 guy that plays solid defense...Those types don't grow on trees...

He signed a 2yr extension in February.

Helluva an outing by Matty tonight. Cool, calm and in control. TAG made a good point tonight. Texas is 6-2 and the bats haven't even gotten going yet. Pick up another game on LAA with Yu going tomorrow. Really looking forward to tomorrow.

Second very good outing for Harry. Evan Grant reported that he has learned to throw his change up on the inside to left handed hitters. Now that they have to watch for both the fastball and change inside; they can't catch up with his fastball outside. Harry got Mauer out twice with men in scroing position, something that wouldn't have happened last year.

Per the above discussion on whether we keep Andrus. The unfortunately reality is we are going to be able to keep the entire team intact. We'll probably lose Napoli after this year. Reports are that we are discussion an extention with Hamilton even though the season has started. If we can sign him; then next years outfield will be Hamilton, Martin and Cruz. Cruz is a F.A. after 2013; when we will let him walk. Andrus doesn't become a free agent untll 2015 and we extended him through 2014 during the off season; so we don't have to be in any hurry to deal him before. Unfortunately; his agent is Scott Boras, so we aren't going to get a "hometown discount" and probably won't be able to afford him in 2015 with Profar available at shortstop. Then we can decide whether we need Kinsler at second or in the outfield.

I wonder how Darvish's line wouldve looked w/out Youngs errror. I know its part of the game but that was just a bad error. Lets get the sweep tomorrow w/ Neffy going.
