i'll be in the extreme minority here. at a practice in pads, i could understand. "awesome. agressive and fighting, mad and ready to go." going at each other when we sell unity and family in recruiting? not good. and say what you want, but there is a seldom kiss and make up. they'll remeber it every time they see each other. after a loss when the finger pointing and yelling starts? probably not pretty. potentially divisive as well.

this team is hungry and ready. a fight between a three-year letterman and a true freshman is far from evidence. probably not a big deal.

I disagree. Last year I had two Big kids fight at practice. Before I could break it up one needed 7 stitches under his eye, and the other one had 2 cuts around his eye that requires band aids, but not stitches. The NEXT DAY we have a game and the one with stitches takes a dirty elbow to the side of the head. The 1st person to step in and want a piece of the guy that threw the elbow was the guy he got in a fight with the day before. And this wasn't in a thugish, "I want to fight" way, it was a "Nobody f#@&$ with my teammates" way.

Like I said earlier, brothers fight. Older brothers pull crap on younger brothers until the younger one stands up to him and let's him know he isn't taking his shit any longer. Once that happens respect is formed.

Maybe if our linemen are trying to help DT's off the scale they can help a QB off the turf.
