I was under the impression that the playoff teams were to be chosen by a selection committee. Are there guaranteed spots? Maybe I'm just behind.

The Big 10 and SEC are going to wield more power. That's the reality. Maybe not tomorrow but eventually.

I honestly think moving to the SEC now with Oklahoma might be the best option. The Big 12, by our own fault is just going to implode.

Bobby really needs to come back and answer how to get around the GOR. Because Texas without tier 1&2 money won't be running budget surpluses any longer. Texas goes indie with just the LHN and we will become an afterthought. I guess Bobby may be thinking of pushing to dissolve the conference but only OU, Tech and oSu might go along with that and only if guaranteed a landing spot with us. But then we'd have to fold the LHN and who in the AD's office wants to do that?

I'm afraid the SEC may play hard ball with us and only invite Oklahoma and go East (VT or NC State) for the other team to get to 16. They already have the Texas footprint with A&M now.
