Why doesn't Texas recruit Alabama?

They have a bunch of Jimmy's and Joes that are physical specimens. They can't get em all in Tuscaloosa.

That would be a huge waste of time. Auburn is still a player and then you have to contend with the rest of the SEC. It would be foolish to step in that lions den.

We need to do something. I have always wanted to have their strength coach. They're just in unreal condition year in and year out.

Never hurts to try. We've slowed pur process way down and that gives us time to take shots. Porter,Searles and Davis have recruited there before as well.

B. Malcolm is at minimum a 1200-1300 yard back at Bama.

I mentioned last summer that Texas should have satellite camps in California, Florida, Ohio and Alabama...get in Kiffins, Meyers, Muschamps and Sabans backyard, set up shop and show them Texas means Business....

It can very much hurt to try. Picking up recruitment there, means you're taking away from somewhere else. Only so many hours in the day, so you can't add territory (with very slim chance for success) without taking time away from somewhere else.

I'm all for going outside of Texas, but not just blindly going anywhere because a kid can play, no matter how little interest he has in Texas. The staff needs to use their time wisely.

This is why I like the satellite camp idea...introduce kids to Texas in their own backyards....meet the coaches...make a couple of offers to the 5 stars and then the kids will be interested....
