I see Raulerson more as a future DT than DE,. At a lean 250 lbs., he's got 5.0 speed, which is fine for a growing DT, but somewhat slow for a DE. He's not likely to get a whole lot quicker while putting on D-1 bulk, but that's no problemo because athletic, mobile DTs are probably the rarest of all football commodities. Doug English was also a lean 6-5 DT, and he became an All-American and 7-time All-Pro.
OTOH, having an athletic guy who's always looking to kick someone's ass would be great to have on the OL too.
I just want him used where it has the absolute greatest impact. Much will depend on how he grows, and our needs on the OL and DL.

I think he'll have great success on either side of the ball but I think he's got NFL potential as an OLineman. My prescription would be to redshirt him and allow him and the coaches to see where his body goes after a year with Bennie and then decide based on working him on both sides of the line and his growth.
Having an All-American Center would be awesome but he has the feet and the drive to be a first round OT if he can gain weight. Anyone can see the disparity in pay between OC and OT in the NFL. Let Bennie and Stacy work their magic and turn him into a monster.

While I agree with you about the value of OT's, the problem is that he may not have the body type to carry the weight necessary to be an OT. I could see him being either a strong side DE or he may be able to play DT. For all we know, he might have incredible hands and make a great TE. The mods described him as a jumbo athlete that can play different positions along the line. It will be interesting to see where he ends up before he leaves the 40 acres.
