Thought he would at least get a sniff from Tennessee? Hell on some boards people were talking about him as the next big time coach on the board?

Excellent question. He's done more at Iowa State than Chizik ever dreamed of, although having immediate success in the SEC coming from the Big 12 isnt apparently too difficult. (Chizik, Miles)

Rhoads just signed a 10 year $20 million contract at the end of last year - as a reward for finishing 8th in the Big XII. He's got a pretty sweet gig in Ames with very limited expectations.
