I just saw it on Youtube and while you can not say definitively that it was intentional, you can at the least say it was careless and reckless. A seven game suspension would be the minimum I would penalize him especially taking in to account his history . This is not a slap on the wrist by any means considering most of it involves missing play off games. Now if this was an elbow by a player with no history of this type of behavior that would be a different story.

And .... Stern pussed out. I am starting to think of a whole 'nother level of punishments for Metta now. Ant hills ... things like that. I guess the worst punishment is really being the fraudish thug that he is, that Metta World Peace. What a guy! We need a vomiting smiley faced icon.

Reactions to the punishment really say a lot more about the commenter than they do about World Peace or his actions.

I know this is the internet which deals in overreaction and faux outrage, but some of you need to read your posts aloud.

How did you do that? Is this access able for all?

I have long held that assault charges should be filed when actions like that happen. I know football to be a hard hitting sport but I believe most mature people can see the difference between a hard legal hit and just plain thuggery. An instant drug test should be administered as well to see if drug played a part in it with harsh penalties for that as well.
