What is going on with Mal Brown RB???????

  • one play tonight, statue of liberty, no touches? Is he still hurt? Personal issues?

Is there the feeling that he may transfer? WTF is going on?

Harsin has no idea what the fuck he wants to do with this offense.

Texas may have too much talent offensively, and trying to placate them all is causing too much inconsistency.

This. I think Harsin hasn't figured out how to use all of the weapons at his disposal. Having your QBs make poor decisions doesn't help either. Very frustrating.

  • Daje and Brown will xfer at the season end. I sure as he'll don't blame them either.

  • Some practice reports had him getting a lot of reps in practice and looking healthy and very good running the ball. HarsinWhite decisions with the RBs just puzzle me to death.

I don't think that'll happen. Hills, DJ, and Goodwin are gone after this year. Daje becomes DJ and Marquis. He will also one of our top three rb's IMO. He isn't leaving.

Bergeron hopefully moves to FB in the offseason leaving Brown and Gray as the two deep at TB. Malcolm needs to get his body ready. No more injuries.

As I've said and had the clownish down votes rain down on me for as a result, Malcolm Brown's season is showing every sign of an upcoming transfer. It is flatly obvious to anyone who isn't being willfully naive.

    Agreed. Sad but true.

Gray is getting Brown's carries and frankly, I have zero problem with that. Brown is a china doll who hasn't proved to be reliable.

  • It is sad that the head football coach (an supposedly offensive mind) has some of the most explosive offensive talent in the country, but fails to utilize it and loses games because of it. Now, he runs the risk of having his 5 star running back and athlete transfer from his program. Aside from off field and drug issues, I have never heard of a 5 star running back transferring from a program. This falls solely on Mack Brown and it should be indicative that he needs to retire. At least it is evident to me, but it might not be to him. That is the saddest part of it all....

  • Honestly Malcolm transferring wouldn't be the worst thing. He completely busted this season and can't stay healthy. We have Gray who is a better RB and Daje who needs to get touches in the backfield as well as out as a receiver. Bergeron needs to be moved to FB and Catalon/Hicks can slide into that few carry a game change of pace slot to get their feet wet.

Just like Jordan Hicks, it doesn't matter how talented a guy is if he can't play the game due to injury.

Gray is not better than Malcolm Brown point blank.

Why does everyone who disagrees with your speculation get personally attacked? I'm not naive...and I'm certainly not willfully so. If Malcolm transfers, I will be very disappointed. I will give you props. But I expect an apology from you if he doesn't. There is no reason we can't disagree without personal attacks. It's not like either if us has inside info on this. It is pure speculation. There is room for different opinions there, no?

They are two different backs but gray is better because he actually gets out onto the field. Maybe it's bad luck but that's where it's at this point.

I said nothing specific about any particular person. By definition, you were not personally attacked. If what I typed hurt you in a personal way, that is your issue.

If someone is "willfully naive", then, by definition, that are not naive. Perhaps you meant naive or obtuse? No matter. We've learned to read past your awkward phrasing. If MB isn't playing because he is transferring, then he has already made a decision to go. Probably not the case in this instance.

just going to disagree, and I really think highly of Mal. It should be Mal and Gray getting carries next year.

  • People are quick to forget how well M.Brown runs when on the field.

    roc4roc

  • There were times last night when I was at the game just thinking to myself that Malcolm would've cut that back with his great ability in that respect and his vision as well. There are times he would've gone for 10 and Gray only for 3-5 because of vision.

Haha. You quoted my text and then made that statement. Now you don't want to stand behind it. Whatever. You miss the point I was making. Whether it actually hurt me personally is irrelevant. Your inability or unwillingness to discuss things without attacking your "opponent" lowers the dialogue. Ad hominem attacks are logical fallacies and almost always a sign that you are outmatched. That is the issue here...and thus it is YOUR issue. Not that you'll ever admit it. Can't wait for you to prove me correct with your next response. :)
