What do you want to see Saturday?

First and foremost I want to see Blaine Irby run out onto the field on the 1st offensive series. He's earned the start more than any player on the team.
Second, I want to see leadership out of the QB and passion, discipline and execution out of every player. I know there will be mistakes but those will smooth out as they work into the new schemes.

I just want to see a defense that plays like their hair is on fire and an offense that plays tough and smart mistake free football. Also want to see the return game scare some people and the coverage teams knock someone out. That's all.

I'm hoping for a blowout, but I'm thinking a workman like effort with vanilla on both sides of the ball. We are still evaluating, and want to see basic performance. Hopefully we won't need too much scheme to take out Rice.

I think they polish the plays that the others are built off of. While this team may not "be good enough to do that" right now, that's who they are. This is still a new offense and defense and it's baby steps. Perfect the basics and install more in the game plan the following week. Remember, it was mentioned they ran the same play out of four different formations. There is absolutely no reason to show future opponents all four of them.

I want to see Gilbert complete a pass to a wide open receiver! THREE good things need to happen for that to work ...
Actually about seven things but we gotta think some of them will have been worked out in practice.

I want to see holes opening up for the runners; Blaine Irby to catch 8 passes, at least; our corners defending the pass; a bad-ass defense; and a qb that is confidant, has no interceptions and moves the ball down the field.

I want to see the backup QB get more than just hand-off snaps at the end of a Texas blowout.

Effort, intelligent play calling, enthusiasm, execution.
Mostly, Texas is not in a position to be holding anything back play call wise. I want to see a full game plan and an attempt to destroy the opponent.

The other obvious ones were "ribs, beer, football, girls in boots and short orange skirts" but then, again, I'd prefer those things on a daily basis.
