"Don't know. Never had one"
-- D. Royal-Mack Brown how to coach a team after a losing season
"We've seen it on film and it's awful," the coach said. "They have the players. They just take too many chances. You can't do that. They just keep getting split (in the run game) off of those odd fronts."
This just infuriates the hell out of me. Everyone sees it. Other coaches are laughing about it. Yet here is Mr. $5million a year who is so insulated to things that matter he can't figure it out.
Now if Bobby Burton or Geoff Ketchum are criticizing his program you damn well know he hears about that. But his defensive Coordinator is the laughing stock of defensive coaches across the country and he's clueless.
The fact that Diaz came out against TCU int he mickey mouse defense tells you that Mack has no clue what the problems are and is not even involved close enough to know what Diaz's game plan was going into the TCU game. If Mack doesn't step down now I'm done with this team.
I know this thread is about the defense. and it does need a coaching change imo.
but has anyone thought about how Texas has really been playing all year with what is
really a 3rd and 4th string QB? I mean 1 and 2 left town right????
