of something I noticed a couple of years ago.
Guess who finished 2nd for Darelle Revis in recruiting?
Kansas.
If KU would have somehow signed Revis, then KU would have signed Revis and Aqib Talib in the same recruiting class (2004).

What was the deal with Revis's recruitment? Was he just overlooked, a late bloomer, or what?

To be fair, he wasn't a guy whose name came up much in the national meetings. I remember he came on strong as a senior.

Strange considering he's one of/if not THE best cb in the NFL. Sometimes people just miss on a kid, or some recruiters just know talent when they see it.

Kansas was a great team at evaluating kids. Mangino, in particular, was terrific. He did it at KState, OU and Kansas. Some people have that eye, and he had it. He leaned very heavily on hard-nosed kids.

Hey, they had Charles Gordon back there already, so they had players back there. Too bad Gordon had to push off to get open as a WR. :-)
