I disagree with some in this thread...

From the highlights...

He's blowing passed d-backs who are giving a lot of space and then he's forced to wait on his QB. He's even stutterstepping as ball is in flight. One can question the level of competition, I suppose. His feet look good, if he's a legit 6-4 or 6-5.

I don't think wide receiver is out of the question. He looks ~.15 faster than Cayleb Jones (who needs to work on his feet and positioning to get significant playing time). But, yes, one is black and one is white and we all know how that changes perception. -:)

As soon as A&M offers he's off the board. Get used to it boys.

If Manzeil has another good year and is likely to be drafted because of it, he has implied that he will go pro next year. None of the 2014 guys will ever make the lineup before Johnny leaves. A&M's offense will not be the same with Showers or "I slept they coach" at the helm.

As said, it won't be Showers. However, Matt Davis looks to be capable and will probably be the QB2 this year. Kenny Hill/Kohl Stewart (if he doesn't go MLB) are very promising as well. We can't replicate "Johnny Football", but I think the young guns may fill in admirably.

Not trying to troll, but I'll take our QB's (present and committed) over any Big 12 team. TCU can at least make an argument for equality, but I think our upside is better even without JFF.
