    Technical Question to anyone...

Often while trying to view video from UT Sports I get a consistent stutter in the feed as if the download stream is not fast enough to keep up. I've seen this on multiple computers over the years, but never from any other site. I regularly download large files at work (blueprints) and stream movies and ESPN on my laptop with no issue. What is it about UT Sports videos that makes it such a problem? Is there any simple solution?

It is absolutely the only streaming site from which pausing the stream to allow it to buffer further ahead does not help at all.

BTW, this is the first issue I've had this season but it's as annoying as ever.

Those who can, do; those who can't, coach; those who never could, complain about the first two.

HAPPENS TO ME ALL THE TIME. I've gotten to the point where I don't even want to click on a video link. It is very frustrating. Do you run AdBlock Pro? I wonder if it is related.

Nope, no AdBlock. I'm sure there is some form of filtering software running at the office, but not at home.

  • Texas Sports uses microsoft silverlight software for its streaming videos. It might be a software issue, you can make sure that you have the latest version of silverlight installed. Silverlight seems to buffer more and longer than flash based videos, so that might be part of it as well.

    Thanks. I'll check into that.

... Well, that wasn't the problem. It says I have the latest software available. Oh well. Thanks anyway.
