Vandy head coach James Franklin

I'm continually impressed by him when he speaks in front of the media. Watched some of his press conference from SEC Media Days and he was impressive.
That's not an easy job, and not only are they winning but they're recruiting well.

He could be. The guy is winning and building a competitive program at a perennial doormat in arguably the best conference in the country.

Wasn't he the guy who told the media he was only interested in hiring assistants who had hot wives? If so, I'm not too impressed with him speaking to the media.

Lol , thanks. To clarify, I don't really have a problem w/ what he said , but could you imagine the $hit storm if the TEXAS coach said that? He'll have to be more aware of his words once he gets promoted out of Vandy and into a big time program.

If Spurrier says that, most people chuckle and say, "well, that's Spurrier for you."
Franklin has some similar non-PC ways about him that can be tolerated so long as he knows how to win.

I love the stuff Spurrier throws out. Free Shoes U still makes me laugh. Maybe Franklin can pull it off.
