Great news about Moore and Edmond. Those two improve and our middle will be tough.
Vacarro is right. Good safeties get drafted in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds. But great college safeties get drafted in the 1st. He's got that kind of potential. I hope that motivates him to have his best season yet.
Regarding Josh Turner, are we to immediately assume that his cross-training at CB and S is due to not having elite speed or could it be that they see him as being special like Adrian Phillips as far as having the aptitude to play both and become a valuable piece of the secondary with versatility in the years to come? Obviously, my optimism makes me want to believe he'll take on the same role as Adrian Phillips. I can't wait for him to get healthy. As talented as Mykelle is, I think Phillips' health will be key to having a rock solid secondary next season.
And the stuff on Edmonds is just great. No other way to put it. Texas finally has a legit stud MLB that will make everyone around him better.
I was told that "the ball seems to find Josh", and that's why safety makes sense for him. I don't think he's an Adrian Phillips type who can play every position. He'd have a hard time being a strong safety and I just don't think he has the speed to be a field corner.
On a completely innocuous note, can we get a different picture of Edmond when reports are put together??? He's channeling his inner Jerry Ball with that one...
