  • Really like this kid's potential... Would be a nice option if(when?) we don't land Randle

  • NY.............saw your recruiting thread the other day. If you could take just 3 players (assuming Myck leaves next year) what 3 players would you take? -Would like any posters thoughts.........

Well, if we're talking any three in the country, it would be Julius Randle, Jabari Parker, and Kasey Hill....

If we're talking kids Texas has a shot with I'd go Randle, Nick King, and for the need of a point guard/ combo guard I'd go with Stanford Robinson because he is the best one Texas is looking at right now...

I prefer King. Frazier can get really shot happy at times and King is a better defender and slasher while still being a capable three point shooter...

  • The 3 I'd like would be Julius Randle, Keith Frazier and Dominic Woodson. Each of them will eventually be the best players on future Texas teams and in the case of Frazier and Woodson would play more than 1 year.

GQ..............I get very nervous when we hear more than 1 year. Its a sure sign they are one and done.................hoops

But if that happens you'd be willing to leave the point guard duties to Felix, Holland, Lewis and Frazier?

with that lineup, you'd just need a facilitator. Not to mention you're more than likely chasing a legit stud at PG in the following class.

Exactly. I only see Felix as capable of being a facilitator on that team...

  • If we are talking about any 3, assuming Kabongo leaves and Ridley stays, I would take Randle and the Harrison twins and it's not even close for me. It would address PG, and PF while giving you a legit NBA SG.

I know there may be a few better players in the country than these 3, but not many.

I would've went with that lineup but with Texas having no chance with the twins I didn't.

I hear what you're saying but if the offense is ran the way it was in 2010 with Joseph, the need for a true pg isn't as dire and we'd be able to get away with that lineup. Plus Randle & Woodson are also big time facilitators at their positions so although it would be a different look it could definitely work for Texas.

Almost got through the whole post without someone mentioning the second coming of Jordan and Shaq (the twins).

  • Yeah, I know but since someone said anyone.......Haha

I don't think they are the 2nd coming of MJ, Shaq, or Kobe but I would like to see them in Burnt Orange. Our line up with them would be REALLY long and athletic. Plus, I love the fact that they play at their own pace no matter what defense they are facing.

I honestly don't even know if they are the best guards in the country, but they are better than Frazier and any other guard we are looking at.
