This doesn't concern me yet. I don't use hotels in either case but traffic would be a nightmare if both events are held on the same day. I expect the FIA will be the one to reschedule but at this point there is more than enough time for either entity to do so. It's in no one's best interest to create an issue of this nature.

the fan fest and tailgating wouldn't collide. you'd have to move the shuttle bus location from 15th/trinity though. and traffic and hotels would make it miserable anyway - the damand for f1 hotels and overall capacity is going to do nothing but increase next year after the rave reviews the event/track/hosting is getting.
still not sure how they got scheduled on the same day. what happened to ut's alleged power in the b12 offices? can they not request to not play on certain days that conflict w/ big happenings in the city? no games in austin in october, but 3 in november?
