I guess you could say about Whitsett's whiffed chip at 18, "He missed it by \m/ much." History sure has a funny way of repeating itself.

Congrats on the win guys! I've gotta admit, while I love playing a round of golf, I've never even kept up with a college golf tournament, but I've been invested in this thing all week & was on the edge of my seat for just about the whole thing today, especially the back 9.
When we started to make our charge on the back 9, especially when Wyatt somehow Eagled 17 & chipped in for Bird on 18, as awesome as that feeling was for a split second it was hard to enjoy it long b/c Fritelli flipped the script in his match with Whitsett just like that.
We really wanted the win after our women won their tournament last weekend, but we'll also take knowing that we've finally turned the corner in golf again, as it's been way too long. Anyway, awesome matches today, congrats on the natty!

Congrats to the golf team on its national championship.

More so if the way golf is set up. Several rounds of stroke play to get to a final 8 then 3 rounds of match play to get to a champion.
That's a lot of golf and pressure in 1 week.

Jordan's in a 4 man playoff for the last 2 spots (Estes took the first). Also in the playoff? Bama's Whitsett.
