What an awesome moment for the lone senior, Fritelli! Gribble was nails again, and Spieth came back strong today when we needed him from a disappointing round yesterday. Vegas didn't quite have it today, but that kid's performance in the semis yesterday with birdies on 16, 17 and 18 was so clutch. He absolutely helped earn this National Championship. And Hakula was absolutely great this week. I think this was the only match he dropped, and the Bama kid just made a great shot.

For those updating and posting with and without the stream today and the last couple of days, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great ride with my fellow Horns!

Great point. I think a couple of people (maybe even Gerry) commented yesterday that they expected Spieth to return. Solid, solid group coming back. I'd love to do this again next year.

BTW austen posted earlier this week the Horns add another outstanding player so they will be loaded it would seem for 2013

While it will never garner the attention football will, it's just as big of an accomplishment for these athletes as it is for the football players when they do it.

Agree. However, those sports which require winning all games (tournaments) to achieve the final championship are so much more difficult than winning that one game, IMO. However, I'll take ANY National Championship in any sport!

Could be a rematch with Bama next year. I believe they only had one senior on their squad also.

I noted several weeks ago that losing to the Aggies in the conference tourney would mean little if the Horns won the national title. Mission Accomplished!!

Great job by all 5 guys, but I think my pick for MVP is Cody Gribble. After a fantastic freshman year, he seemed to struggle the last 2. I wasn't sure if Fields would go with Cody or the senior Alex Moon for the final slot, but Cody was clutch. To have your #5 go 3-0 in match play was awesome.
