When I was looking at our list of commits yesterday I came up with an idea of what may have been considered when he was made the #1 prospect on our board. Height. Look at the linemen coming in with him. A 6'6 center? None under 6'4.

Not saying all the QB prospects are equal overall, but if they were itd make sense to target the tallest one. Being able to see over your line and not have balls batted down is pretty important.

I dont disagree, but my point is all things being equal, would you prefer a 6' Drew Brees or a 6'4 Drew Brees?

I think numbers in high school are a bit over rated. It depends on not only the player u recruit but also the players around him and also the level of competition that they play against. If u have followed Tyrone at all u can see he is a man playing agianst boys. The level of competition he plays agianst is not to bad and yet he puts up gody numbers time and time Agian. Manly with his legs but none the less. If u look at his receivers they are very undersized and not burners. He's going to be a good player and I will say he will be a 3 year starter. I will tell u this. I will not compare nor do I like the comparisions to VY. There will never be another VY period. I just hope he writes his own legacy in burnt orange.

I think you got my point the other way around. I agree we recruit the same linemen. All these guys are beasts. Just saying that Swoopes being tall as hell didn't hurt him.

I doubt the size of the linemen in this class had anything to do with the decision to take Swoopes over some others. It likely had more to do with the fact that he's a bad MFer.
