Not sure where they're coming from. When I logged on to the site this morning I had 4 of them. Two were a variety of trojan horse. I'm running firefox because the windows search engine was very susceptible to viruses. May not be related to this site at all.

What's happening to me quite frequently is when I first log on and then try to access a topic I'm rerouted to some ad site and I can't backspace back from that site. I'm sort of locked into it. I have to erase all tabs and reenter the site. It doesn't ever happen again after I've reentered. Now I'm getting virus threat reports. So far have 5 today. My AVG seems to be handling them OK but it's a pain.

Yeah, that's a sign of malware already infecting your computer. It's not the website because you picked it up somewhere else. It's re-routing your browser. Nasty stuff. It's probably buried deep in your registry too. You need to run Ad-Aware and Malwarebytes both to make sure it's all take care of.

Probably wouldn't hurt to reformat if you can. Good luck!

If it starts rerouting to a purchase page for spyware remover then it's scareware and that stuff can be nasty, especially if it eats in your registry and takes away your ability to surf or open other programs. Safe mode and malwarebytes are the best bet of that actually happens. Those places that stream sports online have given me ones two or three times that I had to go in and clean out myself. Nasty nasty little bugs

Thanks. I learned that lesson a couple of years ago. This scary program pops up and tells me that I have only 5 minutes to save my computer. Stupidly I allowed the program to prevent infection of my laptop. Well, it locked the damn thing up. We had to reformat the drive and run some interminably long utility to cleanse it all off the machine.

The page it reroutes to here is advertising stuff to be bought online, like pharmaceuticals. You can't exit the page.

It's not on our end. May be something you've picked up elsewhere or is on your hardware that is triggered by the login script.

It doesn't matter which browser type you use. If the browser is set up to run Active X and scripts, there's a chance you will get malware if you go to certain websites that take advantage of you.

However, both Firefox and Chrome do have better protection implementations. You should go into your options/preferences of your browser and turn security up a level.

There are also extensions for Firefox that blocks background scripts and autoruns so you have a much less likely chance for infection. Here is one example:

Also, be wary of the crazy free sports, content and torrent sites.
