If by boring you mean focused, then I might agree. But then again I happen to like a site that's true to its purpose rather than a freakshow.

Information here is a lot better than what you'd get competing Longhorn sites where a lot of the content is fluff.
And I sure as hell don't miss the dog lover threads or "This just happened" threads.

Its nice not to have, "OT: A kid was attacked by Parrot" "OT: Why do people pick their noses while driving their cars"
Also the Houston vs. Dallas Sports teams were just to much to take

OT threads is what makes a site worth it in down times of the year. The mods can give you all the info you want but it is still about 10 minutes of reading a day. I like this site more for the fast breaking news but other than that it is meh. It can sometimes seem like a ghost town.

I have one suggestion. The national board (The Blue Board) is good for entertainment. If you bounce back and forth, I have a feeling you will like the combo of info and entertaining threads.

Depends on if your a Horn. Just a few months ago, it was the hottest thing going. All depends on happenings and news. These are the "dog days." Now if the Baseball team or the Softball team contends... It will hop again before Summer Camp.

That is better than nothing. I am not taking a shot at the mods they do excellent work and break stories at warp speed. But this board could be so much more entertaining without all the we're to good for OT attitudes that some seem to have. I use this site for longhorn news and entertainment. I do also hope that this site will have more insiders on the board. I know most think that the insiders don't know nothing but it makes for interesting conversation.

I think it's awesome that sometimes the mods here recognize a good OP and have the sense to pin it for discussion. I also like the fact that they don't leave stuff pinned for a week. Of course with the frequency of new LONGHORN topics they generate it would get a little convoluted.
To me it's a matter of whether you want the Longhorn version of Newsweek, or the Longhorn version of Oprah Winfrey.
