Depends on what you are looking for, wheter you want 90% OT posts or 99% sports-related posts. This was discussed a few weeks ago here where a young poster complained these forums were "boring". Most commented to the effect that they go elsewhere for social commentary, medical/travel advice, and all the OT posts one finds on OB but not here where we can quickly and easily get real sports related info and not have to wade through all that other stuff. A majority here like that this forum stays "on topic" and delivers the information first.

Most boards like this have more than one forum within the site. Even some other 247 sites do I think. Not saying have the OT posts clutter up the recruiting forum but offer a board for people to talk about other things like other UT sports, Pro sports, Tailgating, Music etc. You can only talk about recruiting so much, and during the offseason there is not much to talk about overall. Obviously there is not enough posting traffic to turn over a page of posts here in a day right now. Allowing people to talk about other things would get people more active, and provide a whole UT community effect to go with the recruiting info people pay for. Not trying to tell Bobby how to run the board, but just offering a suggestion. If I was them I would want to keep people on this site as much as possible and not want people to leave Hook'em just to go talk about some of these other things. He could even have some posters help out as mods for the OT forum. Just a thought

Im not talking about turning this place into OB where everything is cluttered. another large 247 site BamaOnLine has FIVE forums including an off topic forum called the Water Cooler, and a Ticket Exchange as well. good ideas by them IMO. Auburn board has a similar set up as well as several others here. Why limit things to just pure recruiting only when you can offer the community more?

You can find most of the good posters other places these days. I have been following some of these guys since the 360 boards. The only one I haven't seen is rpongetti. I don't know if he is still on OB or not but that is the only guy that I haven't seen somewhere else.
I was a long time subscriber at OB with many different handles through the years. In college my money would run out and I would create a new username a few months later when mom and dad sent the money. Sorry about the tangent...point is the board has changed quite a bit and in my opinion it hasn't been in a good way.
Too many things to get into but the bottom line is that I didn't feel the product that was being sold to me when I left was worth what it was in the past. I left over 2 years ago and have had no problem getting the same speculation and information that they deliver. I think a good lesson for most is that of complacency...sort of the theme of the Titanic when you net it all out.

I get more entertainment at a funeral. How do i cancel my sub i tried not to pay it and this site continues to try and take my money.
