24/7 is dominating. When 24/7 adds the rest of the college teams they are going to there will be absolutely no comparison. Maybe some of those ESPN guys will be shopping for a job over here.

I read that thread and laughed. One poster said something to the effect that 24/7 was post after post bashing OB. While there have been a few, it was quite the exaggeration.

Too me it's pretty simple. It's like comparing CNN and Jerry Springer. If you want solid information you come here and if you want entertainment you go there. I don't need a message board that moves at the speed of a Twitter feed.

Bah. I am Rivals biggest fan. If that house of cards comes crashing down, it won't take more than one or two DizzG types (think 300 posts a day) to completely ruin that atmosphere over here. Folks that have never had an original thought tend not to want to try new things. Rivals has them under house arrest.

I know I'm probably rare, but almost the instant this site started, I cancelled my OB subscription. I have no idea about the thread you are writing about . . . because I rarely venture over there any more.

Anytime Ketchum speaks the world gets dumber. He actually banned me from OB because i called him out on the coaching changes, and asked when he and chip are gonna actually break some news rather than throw sh** against the wall and hope it sticks?

I can't remember venturing over there ever since I got on here. I love this site. I especially love the fact that people like Gerry actually go out into the field to see the prospects with their own eyes then report back to us. This lets me know that there are quality players that we may want to see play, regardless of their commitment or affiliation. OB seems to only report those with a very heavy interest in Texas. That's fine for the people over there. Me, I love learning about prospects in my virtual back yard that I could actually and possibly see then report my own observations. So what if Baylor is at the top of the list instead of Texas for one player? He's a player I never would have learned about on the other site and I still want to know who is D-1 caliber and so forth. Thanks for all the work to all the 24/7 staff and to the fans who all have a legitimate voice and actual interest. (Here's a secret from me to y'all...on my birthday about 2 years ago, my wife asked me what I wanted for a gift and I said a yearly sub to OB, but she said we couldn't afford it at the time...and I'm glad now I didn't get it because I found out that good things truly come to those who wait.)

See! This is why I subscribed to Hookem. Over there, you had to be a member to read everything. Here, before I subscribed, I could get a lot of info just by reading unhidden responses. I love the fact that I have the option to show a post openly or not (to subscribers only). It helps lure people to subscribed. It did for me. Keep up the good work.
