This is amazing. I knew I'd heard him say he was a monumental gash several times before, but reading it over and over and over again really highlights what's wrong with his mentality. Anti-Texas IMO.

It just depends on if Texas is winning or not. In 2005 when everything scared him to death, we thought it was great that we had a coach that tried to make sure all the little things mattered. Now, we think he is actually scared of everything.

It's funny, and yet ridiculous how much he says that. I can remember my uncle (an Alum & B12 Journalist) stating rather emphatically his annoyance at hearing Mack say this over and over again in press conference after press conference; this was back in the Chris Sims/Roy Williams days. While I'm all for respecting an opponent, so as not to be cocky and let them sneak up on you, I think Mack's words and actions instill fear, which has resulted in paralysis among the players (i.e., curling up into the fetal position). I don't know how else to account for the OU drubbings over his tenure.

I love how every single year, without fail, no matter how unimpressive the Longhorns may look on any given Saturday, he always has this one filed away... ready to bust out whenever the critics start chirping:
"Half the teams in the entire country that played on Saturday lost. We're just happy we aren't one of them.... "
Then he continues to speak about things that scare him to death.
