There is one unbreakable rule

  • that you never, under any circumstance, cheer for OU to win. There is never a reason that you should want them to be victorious as it always comes back in one way or another to be detrimental to the University of Texas. Always, always wish that the Sooners lose every single game.

    This is a law I have faithfully followed my entire life....until tomorrow. Tomorrow I break the law. Tomorrow I cheer my head off for the Sooners to destroy aggy. I will feel extremely dirty, but it will ultimately be good for my soul when they crush the sheep humpers.

    And I will bask in the glory of aggy defeat all weekend until Monday. And then on Monday I will break the number two unbreakable rule--never, under circumstance cheer for Notre Dame to win.

    I need a shower.

    +1 I'm with you. I'm thinking of soaking in Clorox to try and get the stench off after the games! But these are extraordinary circumstances.

  • It's the game of the year to me. I look at it like, if the aggies win, there's nothing we can do about it. If the Sooners win, we can do something about it next October. We need BlowU to prove to everyone that the aggies are still a middle of the pack Big 12 team!

  • While I agree in principle, I did root for blowU one other time -- to beat KSU in the Big 12 championship in 2003 to get us into the BCS and they screwed us on that one, and still made the freaking national championship game. As a result, I definitely strongly prefer blowU to win, but I'll call it something other than rooting for them.

    I'm with you though. I've debated this with myself over and over again, and I just can't think of any reason why we'd want A&M to win. I'd rather sleep with a no-tooth, 300lb hooker than root for OU, but I don't see anyway around it... I already feel like I need to go to church
