I would normally write this off as a typical 2 star Baylor recruit but with the way they have been recruiting, this offer has the looks of having more to do with keeping Rhodes than it does taking Harris based on his talents.

and unless the arky fans I talked to are wrong, which is always possible, Arky brass prefer an offensive minded coach with some HC experience rather than a defensive one with none. Of course, lights out performance by the defense this year and that could change.

Why would I have a problem with Arkansas hiring Kirby Smart or Charlie Strong?

If I remember correctly, back in the 80's, Baylor had a recruiting advantage because they could offer recruits a monthly stipend for living expenses because they didn't have on-campus dormitories. Anybody know if this is still true?

Arkansas' top 4 are Gus Malzahn, Butch Davis, Garrick McGee, and Skip Holtz. They want a guy with connections to the state (all 4 do), and HC experience (all 4 do). Of those guys, 3 of them are offensive-minded coaches and Butch Davis is the other.

Davis is already openly campaigning for the spot, and his relationship with Jerry Jones won't hurt his chances.

Safe to say that neither Diaz nor Briles will be on any short list.

He was at the camp Friday and did really well as a corner. The fact he ran a 10.87FAT doens't hurt and legit 6'1.
