Dan Tudesco, a 2006 graduate who now works in public relations in New York, set up an online account at fundraising website indiegogo.com on Jan. 9 to solicit $5,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Inc. The initial pitch said donations would go to the society in memory of Lennay Kekua and in honor of Te'o, "two individuals who have been an inspiration to us through an iconic season."
Tudesco said he and three friends got the fundraising idea after seeing a video that went viral of Te'o holding his head in dismay during the Irish's 42-14 loss to Alabama in the national championship game.

Notre Dame took notice of Tudesco's tweets about the fund drive and sent a university videographer to shoot an interview with him. The video was posted on the Notre Dame athletics YouTube channel Tuesday.

University spokesman Dennis Brown didn't immediately respond to a request seeking comment Thursday.

Thamel's transcript of his interview with Te'o about his gf.
Te'o says she was in the hospital starting in April (when she supposedly got his by a drunk driver) I guess through her death in September. How was there never a window during the summer when he would have gone to see her?

HAHAHAHAHA
Notre Dame sent someone to videotape an interview with a guy who set up a fundraising site in honor of Te'o and Lennay, and this was after the NC game.

But, but, but, Swarbrick said ND knew about the hoax on Dec. 26.

If you don't want to listen and would prefer a quick synopsis--
Uncle thinks Tuiasosopo was trying to get money.
"Alema Te’o said Tuiasosopo talked extensively about Lennay Kekua, the woman Manti Te’o came to know as his girlfriend, and told the Te’o family he was trying to raise money for a friend of hers who also had leukemia and attended Stanford. According to Alema Te’o, Tuiasosopo made the monetary request seems as if it was Kekua’s dying wish. Kekua died on Sept. 12 following a short battle with leukemia. The disease was discovered after Kekua had been injured in a car accident with a drunk driver."

I was just shaking my head after his press conference when everybody just kind of ran with the "fact" that ND found out about it on Dec. 26.
HAVE WE LEARNED NOTHING??
Nobody, nobody in the national media seemed to raise an eyebrow at that statement. Instead they just ate it up just like they did the whole gf story.

As more people come forward to talk about how Te'o was duped, more reports come out listing the times Te'o kept the story alive despite being alerted it was a hoax.
It's such a tragedy, a tragedy I tell you, that the single most trusting human being can't answer questions and has to rely on his "adviser' to tell us that Te'o is most upset that his family members are victims suffering from the hoax.

Emmert has it all wrong when he says, "[I]t's hard to tell where the facts lie at this point."
No, no, no, no, no, Mr. NCAA president. The facts don't lie. Te'o and Swarbrick do.

"Swarbrick says university officials understand there is more to be learned, but that based on knowing Te'o, he believes the linebacker is a victim. He says he will continue to believe that until given "compelling evidence to the contrary."
Looks like Swarbrick is trying to give Notre Dame an out.
