2013 better be Mack's last. He's a shell of who he was even in the one area where he used to excel. I just hope he gets that high note to retire after, but I fear the wheels come off again.
I'm just gonna stop clicking on any threads created by the mods until signing day. Somebody needs to just kick the damn chair on the class of 2013 (except for the offensive line)

It looks like we will only get Meander but at least we tried. It's a shame we waited so long to push for guys but it may have been a case where after seeing how we looked on defense and several times on offense we just were not very attractive to high school stars.
I expect the defense to be about the same, except the lb play with the Hicks, Jenkins, Thompson and Jackson should be better. With Alex & KV gone and no real option in the secondary we will once again be playing with high school QB\WR's trying to cover and tackle, which we have seen they can't. End result - many points will be given up......
The offense should be better. David Ash played much better at times in his sophomore season so we hope for more improvement this next season. The RB position should be our strength. JG, MB and DJ should be fine and tough to defend. Problem lies in the lack of a recieving TE, a deep threat and the Olympic speed we had last year. End result - we will focus on the run and look great until the RRR where they go 8-9 in box and we have no answer.
This time next season we will be watching the new staff close on recruits before signing day......

I don't care about down votes as a thing, but that there are people out there defending Mack anymore is disturbing. People really think Texas should settle for the crap he puts on the field? I would understand if Texas had the history of a Baylor or a Tech, but I tend to think Texas has more potential than not beating good teams.
