Dude does know the program inside and out and has already shown that he has the charisma and the contacts to be a top notch recruiter... I do believe Mack will be back in 2013 and will gracefully step down after a successful season, leaving the Horns in good shape for Major... However, I also thought Texas would have one of the best defenses in the country, so what the hell do I know...

txhookem78, you make several valid points & I like your thinking, however the most important thing you said concerned just who would bring/lead Texas back to where we ALL want us to be!!!
I will go on record to say of ALL factors considered in assessing who eventually replaces Mack, there will be NONE that trumps this just mentioned one...in MANY ways Major could be "in the hunt" & not too far down the list
