TCU has lost a couple of players mentioned as returning.

* Two big questions on offense:
1. How much improvement will David Ash show in 2012?
2. Who is going to run the wildcat?
I'd have to put both of these behind how does the OL do. Moving either of Walters or Flowers to center makes for a very different year from DomE being able to hold his position against the better DLs thus allowing Flowers to provide depth across the interior.

I think both TCU and West Virginia do well this year. Maybe well enough that either team could win it, though its more believable in WVU's case.
They know what they are getting into, and barring major injuries (which derail any team) they will find this a friendly year to enter a new conference. This thing is wide open, and even OU fans seem to weakly concede that they should be picked on top right now. It's quite a contrast from the preseason last year, to be sure.
For that exact reason, I think we have a chance to have a special sort of year. This is probably the most important season for Mack since he's been here.
I definitely think the Big 12 can be ours this year. Wv in Austin. I feel we will go at least 10-2 with a decent shot at 11-1. Every school has weaknesses and you can never project injuries but we should be much better than last year. And last year we could/should have won 2 more games bc of injuries. Stay healthy and find a kicker. The Duke punter transfer helps with part of the ST worries.
I dont think Tcu can win it this year, 4 losses bc of offseason departures.
WV can win it, that O has been very good even b4 the Orange bowl. Austin is a very dangerous and fun player to watch. Their D is a ?, can they adjust to Texas, Ou, TT, Okst week in and week out. I think they drop 2 somewhere.
Can Ou DEs and new WRs play well. If they do, they have a shot, if not, they will lose 2+.

Diaz is not your favorite DC. tisk, tisk!
For WVU, I think they're going to put up some real points against just about anybody. They put up 27 against LSU last year and that was no small order.
I really think Holgorsen really gambled on his DC hire. DeForrest has never been a DC. If he gets it right, it could be a big-time hire. If he gets it wrong, it could cost them a BCS game.
