It'd be huge if Jackson can give the Longhorns quality reps all season. Would make life a lot easier on Brandon Moore and Malcom Brown.

45 tackles, 7 sacks may be a little optomistic; but he is going to be a big piece of a quality four-five man tackle rotation. There's real competition for playing time; which is going to motivate everyone. Bo Davis is going to have this group playing very well next year. We are going to be very solid up the middle as long as our MLB plays up to hype.

Such a different tune than just a year ago, but it's true. Texas DT situation looking really stout.
Interested to hear how MB2 stacks up with them once they get it going in camp.

I'll bet Des plays the second most reps of any DT this season (assuming good health). We're going to need penetrating DTs more than run-stuffing DTs against many of the offenses that we're gonna face.

Great stuff, Alan... I wonder who else has stepped up & joined the '400' club?
I hope Des does get a lot quality minutes this year!
