Hey Jeff, first of all, great job, second of all, if the top 247 and state rankings were out for 2014, where do you think Joe and Roberson would rank? At this point I assume both would be 4 stars from what I've seen of them?

Times have definitely changed. I'm 28 and I can tell you now, that these kids are much more aware of "their celebrity status”. Ten years ago when I was recruited, there wasn’t a 247, if I’m not mistaken Rivals was just getting started, so when I saw my name mentioned in the Baton Rouge Advocate as a player to watch, I thought I was big stuff as well. Whether that status is false or not, these kids know they are good, they know the coaches, school, and fans will do whatever it takes to woo them. So nowadays when a kid says Texas is my favorite school, but Texas hasn’t offered because it’s their policy, but LSU, Bama, and A&M has, that kid even though Texas is his favorite, views this as they really don’t won’t me.
I’m not saying offer every kid early, but offer the ones that you really want. It just makes sense.
