"Leadership is wisdom, courage and great carelessness of self"
"The biggest credit to McCoy is for his decision not to transfer and stick it out."
Seems that was more because no one wanted him.
Also on the defense for the second half you can't just dismiss the final drive. It was indicative of how poor the defense has been all year and can't get off the field when needed.
I think if we would repeatedly hand or pitch the ball off to our speed guys we would be fine offensively. No more of this make believe power rushing stuff.

Even though a lot of folks are down on this team, even at 6-2 as of now, anyone dreaming of more than 6-6 at the end of the regular season are doing just that, dreaming.
IMO, I cannot see Mack ever getting back to the top again. Three pitiful seasons in a row, a HC that has lost it, fan base at an all time low in the last 15 years, not to mention having players that a lot of top programs had recruited and would have signed, atm showing signs of life and will most likely steal a few of our commits or players that may have been leaning our way. I am afraid the tide has already shifted unless something is done after this season. And I am talking something BIG!!!
I do realize the season is not yet over but to most of us it certainly looks that way.
I have been waiting for eight games now for this team to show up and other than Ol Miss, even though by showing up I am talking about the D also, we have not done it.
Not what I expected this year and I now have little hope for next year when almost everyone figued it to be run at another NC. Sad, very sad..........
Jeff said: "One some level, McCoy has a leadership role on this team. If he didn't his presence in the huddle wouldn't have had any impact, and the sense of urgency would have continued to be non-existent."
First let me say that I too believe that the problems on the team are far deeper then QB and I'm not saying that Case would have won the OU or WV game. I feel Ash has played very well this year up until yesterday. I'm certainly not calling for Case to be the starter and y'all that choose to call me childish names by all means continue to do so, that doesn't change the facts. But I think this is as good a time as any to point out once again that the players that talk to my buddy that owns a bar on 6th street have told him time and time again that McCoy commands the huddle better, has a better "feel" for the game, and just has something about him that fires the team up. I understand that in media settings the players can't take sides and will back whomever their QB is but in the bar setting you are probably more likely to get players' true sentiments rather than "coach speak". Just food for thought although I know many of you don't want to hear any of it.
