  • In some ways, because Texas really needs to win one of these games in NJ, this is one of the most important games of the year. I wonder how the young Horns will play so far away from home.

This is a big game from a confidence standpoint for this young team. It's very important to get at least a split out of these two games and Oregon State is definitely the weakest of these three teams.

  • It will probably be blacked out on ESPN unless your cable carrier has the LHN. That's been my experience with ESPN 3

  • Coming from an assistant coach in the Pac-12:
    - Oregon State is playing less zone defense this year...more man
    - Cunningham is a very good athlete and defensive player who can cause J'Covan problems
    - Burton is a big that passes it well, Collier is a rugged, undersized forward, remainder of personnel is average
    - Thinks Texas should be okay if they play an average game

    Matt Cumro

  • there are two things i really hope to see during this game:
#1 is how well we can play against a team that has some size on us. I expect UT gets outrebounded, but can we scrap and hustle for enough of them to keep the difference close. Also we have to play without fouling. WE only got 4 forwards, if we get into foul trouble early because of struggling from their size then it's going to be a long night for the horns.

#2 is how well can J'covan step up and play like he has so far this season against comparable competition and against a bigger guard like cummingham. I think he is a very good player, one of the best in the big 12, but I'm not yet sure if he is great. Can he lead this team and perform at a superior level and assert himself not only as one of the conference's best guards but as one of the nation's best as well. If he can do that, the horns have a good chance to come out of NJ with a suprising two W's.

Jordan I believe you have to have Uverse to get ESPN3 at no cost. It's was like that the last 2 years.

  • Our next opponent is putting on an offensive show, no matter who it is. Vandy up 43-41 with about 4 minutes left in the first half. Needless to say, there have been a lot of open shooters.

I am at the game and which ever team Texas faces, they're going to have a hard time with. Both teams play with a physicality that Texas probably can't compete with.

  • OSU goes in and out, in and out, and winds up with a 3 from its center. TExas makes a turnover as Kabongo throws it to a guy who cuts the other way. Texas gets draws a charge. • Bad defensive play by Texas to allow baskets on consecutive plays. Guy without ball gets free on wing and drives baseline with no one picking him up for the back door pass and layup, followed by a drive through the same side of the defense for another easy layup. Texas hit a three in betwee those two baskets, so it's tied at 13.
