OK - I am just questioning Davis' size and skillset at SDE. I think he's more of a BUCK style DE in our system.
Interestingly enough the official Texas depth chart has him listed as the 2nd team BUCK behind Reed as well. But, I'm sure that you are right. Nobody knows football like ole WildBill71... that guy has the vision of the program in the palm of his hands.

Yea, I see what you're saying but we really got punched in the face at the point of attack this year. To be honest, I would rather line Dorsey up at SDE and have JJ and Shiro man the BUCK position. Stopping the run would take the pressure off of our DB's to focus on it and allow them to play stronger pass coverage.
Dorsey may be a Tackle (with Tackle size) but he is very athletic and fast. It would improve our run defense significantly IMO and that is something that really needs to happen.

You seem to be confused about the "on paper" comment, so I'll clarify.
You posted Ash's stats, which look good on paper. If you watched the games however, you'd know that Ash is limited as a QB and was useless against the two toughest defenses he played all year.
Manziel's award is not on paper. It was given to him by people that watched him play all year.
Manziel against the two toughest defenses he played this year (Florida and Alabama): 47/61/77%/426 yards/2 TD/0 INT 35 carries/152 yards/ 1 TD
Ash against the two toughest defenses he played this year (Oklahoma and TCU): 23/50/46%/217 yards/0 TD/4 INT 12 carries/18 yards/0 TD
Ash folded, Manziel rose to the occasion. Get over it. Your comment was silly at the time, and you being so butthurt about it still is even more silly.

So, what you're saying is that Manziel was not "useless" when A&M played Florida and LSU? You think that 52-86 for 433 yards, 0 TD's, and 3 Interceptions is "all world"? Thanks for the clarification on that...
I guess we could look at games against shared opponents? Maybe?
Ash was 19 of 23 for 326 yards passing (82.6%) with 4 TD's... 259.1 QB rating against Ole Miss
Manziel was 17 of 26 for 191 yards passing (65.4%) with 1 TD, and 2 Interceptions... 124.4 QB rating...129 rushing yards at 6.5 yards per carry and a TD
I'd say that they matchup pretty well actually...
But, then again, anytime I'm talking with an Aggy I never know what I'm gonna get. I guess in your "little world" Aggy didn't end up 4th or 5th in the conference either?
Finally, yea - the heisman is different than All Conference, All American awards because it is "given" to him by people that watched him play? We are talking about an award that was "given" to the likes of Chris Weinke, Scott Frost, and Andre Ware... it must be due to the fact that these people that VOTED for this award "watched him play", but didn't watch the All Conference teams play? Is that basically what you are trying to tell me?

I am absolutely trying to tell you that the writers that voted for Mason Walters to be on an All conference list this year did not watch him play.
You ignore Manziel's game against Alabama, one of the three best defenses in the country. You also ignore Ash's games against KU, one of the worst defenses in the country. You ignore that Manziel got better as the season went along, and you ignore that Ash got worse as the season went along. You ignore that Manziel and his team beat the then #1 team in the country at their place, and you ignore that Ash has been benched three times this year.
