It was right after the first TV timeout that Texas took off in the first half. Let's look for a repeat of that.

Okay, I'll say it. Texas basketball hasn't been enjoyable to watch since Durant.
We've had some good players come through, but if these guys didn't have Texas on their jerseys they are absolutely not a team I would ever choose to watch willingly. Ugly, boring basketball for years.

There are times that I wonder if Rick may have gotten the program as far as he can take it. Not knocking him as he's done a heckuva job post Penders. It feels like he's in an odd dilemma of recruiting so many one and dones that he can't really advance the results beyond the current level. I'm not knocking Rick, but it does feel like the kids are afraid to mess up and get benched vs just playing and getting in grooves.
This will be the second straight game that we've given up double digit leads and gotten routed in the second half. We may still pull this out, but the trend is concerning.

There's absolutely no reason Texas should be struggling against Tech with everything that's on the line.
