Texas only gets one across after having the bases loaded and no outs. Marlow strikes out, then Hall hits a ball down the right field line, scoring Moynihan from third.
Then Felts and McElroy both end up in the vicinity of third while Hall is standing at second. Hall tries to go back to first but gets easily tagged there. He gets out so fast McElroy doesn't have a chance to get back to second. He then gets caught in a pickle and gets tagged out to end the inning.
Top 7th: 4-1 Texas

That's your good, old-fashioned 9-4-2-3-6 double play as Texas gets into about as bad a base running blunder as you'll ever see.
+1..........I understand why Moynihan didn't try to score. Its hard to judge the fly ball but what the hell was the first base coach doing?

Felts should have been running. And Hall should have at least run back and forth to give McElroy time to get back to second. He left him out to dry by not making it harder on the UCSB fielders to get him out.

Nice throw by Felts to catch the UCSB runner stealing to end the 7th. French allows another walk, but that's it for the Gauchos in the 7th.
Bottom 7th: 4-1 Texas
The poor start offensively hasn't affected Felts defense...............
