Bottom 2nd: Hinojosa RBI ground out to short; Payton scores from third
Top 4th: Boss RBI triple to right-center; Trevino scores from first
Bottom 5th: Gottsacker RBI sac fly to right; Felts scores from third
Bottom 6th: Felts RBI FC to short; Payton scores from third
Top 8th: Boss 2RBI triple to right-center; Domenico, McIntyre score
Bottom 9th: Hall RBI single up the middle; Marlow scores from third

The Longhorns host Oral Roberts (5-9) tonight in their midweek game. Texas comes into this one after sweeping UC Santa Barbara and before starting Big 12 play this weekend against Texas Tech. The Golden Eagles come in having lost five straight, including a three-game sweep by Dallas Batptist.

Base running error by ORU leadoff man Logan Domenico ends the inning. The No. 3 hitter lined to right and Domenico was halfway to third when Payton caught it. Very poor decision to take off.

I don't think it's that surprising. He knows he's got two problems right now:
1. Who can hit behind Hinojosa (6 thru 9)?
2. Who won't be a liability on the field?
He's mixing and matching to see what the best combo is. It's looking like Payton, Hinojosa, Felts, Weiss and Marlow are set pretty firmly. Every other spot is still under consideration.

Texas goes down quickly in the bottom of the inning. Three up, three down on grounders to the right side by Johnson and Weiss and a fly to left by Carter.

.........the 6th hole hitter is the big key for this team to be good on offense..........no doubt about that!

The Golden Eagles get another guy on, but even after a wild pitch put him on 2nd with 1 out ORU couldn't do anything with it. Not a great start so far for Hollingsworth, but no damage yet.

Good at-bat for Marlow but it ends with a fly to left to end the inning.
Payton's leadoff triple gets Texas on the board. Moynihan singled after Hinojosa's RBI ground out but Felts and Marlow both fly out, though both had good ABs.
