You give way to much power credit to "Belmont". This decision will fall mostly on a few big money donors.

I don't see the demographics of our big money donors as all that different when it comes to their mindset about the program.

I like Ash, but something is going on there. Our game plan has become about protecting him from making a mistake and with our defense you cannot play that way.

Yes, I was finally at peace with the QB situation after the OK State game. Honestly, it looked like David Ash had taken over the team. I don't believe things have worked out as good for him since then, hence my seeing that game as a "peak" which apparently some take serious issue with.

But, yes, something is going on here. Why don't we see the same plays with either QB in there? Case McCoy comes in and the Offense opens up wide. Why? Case is supposed to be lacking "the tools." Ash has ALL "the tools." I know Ash needs to work on his depth perception by why not do that and let him get the ball down the field? Seems like he's suffocating inside of a 15yd circle and if he can't find something in there, we can't move.

I thought our backup QB was supposed to come in and carry the Offense if the starting QB was having a difficulty, not bring in an entirely different gameplan. I know some teams do that, but I didn't think we were one.

Yes, because the real world is as black and white as you're suggesting.

I'm a fan of the PROGRAM. I'm a fan of Texas Football as an institution. Mack Brown has made himself bigger than the program and has unquestionably done damage to our program through years of neglect and coddling.

Mack Brown is a cancer. Plain and simple. He needs to be removed. Losing a game like today would have been the shortest path to getting this tumor out of our lives. Would there be a short term set back from losing? Sure. But I'll take the 3 year trajectory of the program after a loss today vs. the 3 year trajectory with a win every damn time.

You apparently want to keep winning this year, which only serves to keep Mack Brown at the steering wheel of a bus headed to complete irrelevance.

But somehow, in your state of confusion, you think that makes you a "better" fan than me? Brother, you're the living, breathing definition of the term shortsighted.

Never said I was a better fan than you or anyone else. Just questioning people that "want" Texas to lose. Doesn't add up in my mind. Are changes needed? Hell yes. Would I ever want for Texas to lose a football game? Never.

Entitlement took our team down in 2010, it certainly appears that entitlement is still a serious issue with many fans. Change will come and hopefully soon but hoping for a Texas loss is shallow and short sighted. Kind of aggy/blowU ish.

  • Coach Brown is lost. Coach Diaz is lost. A "disconnect" between them and players on the team.

  • Gotta add Harsin to the lost bucket if he keeps calling games like he did today.

  • Mack said in an interview last year that he gives his coordinators their space and try to make it as uncomfortable as possible. I think that's the wrong way to handle these young coaches. They're clearly not responsible for that. Is it just me or is the reason last years defense wasn't that bad is because we were still running off muschamp defense? We need to get our defense going because this last min. drive won't work after this game.

Harsins play calling seemed to work fine when he replaced ASH. He was unproductive and could not get it done. I wonder if there aren't some issues with Ash either medical or mental right now. He just hasn't been playing with confidence fo several games now. Several under thrown or over thrown balls. Harsin really doesn't look like the problem. IMO
