Texas-Coppin State game thread (FINAL)

Texas hosts Coppin State in the first round of the Maui Invitational. The young Longhorns get one final tune up before traveling to Hawaii for the Championship Round.

From the looks of the info you have given, Texas should have their way with them down low. And, Javan gets someone his own size unless they switch one of their other guards over to him. Hope we see some improvement in energy on offense. I'll be there, front row upstairs.

Just need Chico Vasquez and Reggie Freeman to come up with big blocks and they will be fine

We'll see if Ridley can come out and have his first big collegiate performance against this group.
He admitted to being pretty nervous for the opener. Now that he has the jitters out, and since he'll be going up against a small lineup, he could be in for a bigger day than two points and one rebound.

Is Bond expected to be able to play?
If Texas has no word from NCAA before they leave for Hawaii, will they take Kabongo on the trip?

Bond isn't expected to go tonight. Not sure about Kabongo. Will try to find that out tonight.

This team can't overlook anyone. Coppin got 73 on USC, if we let them get points we could be in for trouble.
Ridley has to get early work in the post and seal his man. No more of this quick post then release or letting his man bust through his seal. Time to play big and the guards need to look for him if he does.
Ibeh looked completely lost in the opener. Completely lost. Hopefully he can improve quickly. Also, let's work through Papi if Sheldon isn't going off. See what the kid can do.
