i hate to burst everone's bubble, but there was a reason for this timing. A&M needed to replace Byrne, everyone knows that. He is not man enough for the SEC. And they have already done a lot of screening and behind the scenes looking into the best candidate.
And yesterday that candidate resigned from her job. (yes i said "her"----the Ags are coming into the 21st century with a great leap-be proud of how they are looking to the future)
and This candidate has great SEC experience, She was an SEC athlete and has continued that SEC experience by working in the football program of one of the stellar SEC programs.
she has intimiate knowledge of coaching in the SEC. She has studied SEC coaching in fact in more intimate ways than almost any other possible candidate.
So no more snide comments. Lets all be gentlemen and recognize when we have been outdone. The Ags are proviing that they are not stuck in the past but are now ready to think "outside the box" and move in (i started to say "unchartered areas" but in truth i am not sure that is exactly the right phrase) a direction that speaks of boldness, courage, and equality for all. We at UT are stuck with an old white man as our AD.
The aggies now have Jessica Dorrell for AD (hey i would never lie about this kind of thing.NO really, i have this on good "inside" information. ) p.s. I understand she works cheap so that has to be a plus too
